Most fetal Dopplers can detect a baby's heartbeat as early as 12 weeks of pregnancy. However, it might be easier to hear the heartbeat after 14–16 weeks, depending on factors like the position of the baby and placenta.
When used as directed and sparingly, at-home fetal Dopplers are considered safe. However, excessive use is discouraged, as they emit low-level ultrasound waves. Always follow the manufacturer's guidelines.
